The St. Louis County Office of Community Development has been working diligently help stabilize neighborhoods on the brink of decline due to the foreclosure crisis with the federally funded Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).  NSP funding has been used to acquire and rehabilitate vacant foreclosed properties in targeted areas of the County to help stabilize property values and preserve declining neighborhoods.  As these homes are sold to qualifying buyers, the program income is invested back in the community.

All of the homes in the NSP portfolio have been rehabbed with 15 year sustainability in mind so the heating and cooling systems, roofs, hot water heaters, appliances and other major systems have been replaced transforming outdated abandoned structures into energy-efficient sustainable homes. Down payment assistance is available on all homes at various levels (up to $15,000) depending on household income.

If you or someone you know is in the market to buy a home right now please consider supporting this St. Louis County initiative by purchasing one of the NSP properties.
